The Other Self by Orrawadee Vilaitanarak and Stephan Knuesel
The Other Self is an interactive art installation that creates the experience of revealing the user’s other self.
With The Other Self we engage our audience to breathe life into digital art. We are treating technology as a medium of expression and as a way to engage the viewer to participate in the creation of the art work.
With our work we are hoping to blurr the boundaries between
artist and user, between user and viewer, between new and traditional,
in order to educate and
hopefully suprise our audience as well as ourselves.
Orrawadee Vilaitanarak
Born and raised in Bangkok Thailand. Background in illustration and
advertisement. Graduated in May 2003 from the Interactive Telecommunicatons
program at ITP. Currently working freelance as a designer.
Stephan Knuesel
Born and raised in Zuerich Switzerland. Background in film and television
as
a cameraman and editor. His work has been screened and won awards here
as
well as in Europe and Japan. Graduated from the interactive
telecommunications program in may 2003. Currently working on several
documentary and web projects.
